Founder & CEO
Darrell Covell
Successfully started and sold seven Defense and Cybersecurity-related technology companies. After a successful career in the Radio Frequency field, he focused his efforts in cybersecurity in the wake of September 11, 2001, Darrell is regarded as an expert in this field and, as such, is sought after as a speaker in multiple venues, particularly about future threats regarding the risks and responsibilities of offensive cyber operations. As the Founder and CTO of Rsignia he recognized the real problem and risks of cybersecurity mitigation vis a vis real-time cyber-attacks. Under his direction, Rsignia’s engineers worked closely with the DoD and Intelligence community to address current cyber warfare issues such as ID spoofing, location attribution, fiber tapping, sonnet capture, layer correlations, and more. He has authored many technical papers on cyber security threat mitigation and various kinetic and non-kinetic approaches and blending of the two. Previously, he won the American Security Challenge for his white paper on strategic mitigation in cyber environments. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from CIT. & currently serves on several BoA's with tech firms.

Reginald Hyde
A seasoned board strategist and national security technologist with over three decades of leadership in high-stakes environments. Having served as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security and a CIA Senior Executive, he brings an elite perspective on risk mitigation, operational scale, and the integration of disruptive technologies. Mr. Hyde’s unique value to Private Equity lies in his history of overseeing massive enterprise modernizations and his foundational role in establishing In-Q-Tel, where he pioneered the model for bridging the gap between venture-backed innovation and government requirements.
As Principal of Oak Mountain Ventures & Consulting LLC, Mr. Hyde specializes in guiding portfolio companies through the complexities of the federal marketplace, secure supply chains, and regulatory compliance. His expertise spans cybersecurity, AI, quantum computing, and critical infrastructure, making him an invaluable asset for PE firms looking to de-risk acquisitions and drive value in the defense and technology sectors. A member of the bar with a J.D. and a Master’s in Public Policy from Princeton, he offers a rare combination of legal rigor, fiduciary experience, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to support sensitive and high-growth investment strategies.
